Gemata S.p.A. has always interpreted innovation as a path that integrates technology, people, and corporate culture.
This vision includes participation in the Workplace Health Promotion project “GE.MA.TA S.p.A.: Feel good and work better”, the subject of a scientific study presented at the XVI SIMSES National Congress and published in the journal Sport Sciences for Health.
The initiative grows from fertile ground: a company that, over time, has chosen to equip itself with a company gym, recognizing the strategic value of psychophysical well-being as an integral part of work organization. Not every company can rely on a space like this, and for us it represents a tangible element of an approach to health that goes beyond individual initiatives.

The project involved employees and management in a program of information, training, and physical activity supervised by professionals in Motor Sciences, with the introduction of “active breaks” during working hours. An integrated approach, based on recognized assessment tools, conceived not as an isolated intervention but as part of an ongoing attention to the individual.
The results of the study show a good level of appreciation among participants and greater awareness of health and physical activity. In particular, positive signals emerged in the management of musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the cervical area. The experience also made it possible to gather useful insights on how to improve engagement in future activities.
The collaboration between Gemata S.p.A. and the research team represents a concrete example of synergy: an opportunity for mutual growth, in which the company provides spaces, people, and vision, while research returns method, analysis, and perspectives for improvement.
For Gemata, promoting health at work means looking to the future with responsibility, investing in people and creating the conditions for well-being and performance to grow together, along a path of continuous improvement.
